So I was up til 1:30 this morning trying to get connected to the internet. I’ve been a Centurytel DSL subscriber for about a year and a half, and it’s been reliable. Occasionally the ADSL modem quits, but I just unplug it for awhile to cool off and I’m back in the biz.
Not today. I checked my connections. I disconnected my wireless router to remove that variable from the equation. I tried resetting my modem to the factory defaults. Still nothing.
I finally call CenturyTel tech support, and they casually tell me that “all Ohio” is having timeout issues. They’ll put in a ticket for me, but it’ll take 24 hours to respond, and nobody works weekends, so I shouldn’t expect any resolution til Tuesday.
